SPECIAL: Columbus Day Weekend Forecast

It will be not the best weekend to view foliage, but leaves are changing up in Northern New England. And, even in the Boston area some trees are changing as well. On Saturday showers will fall in the mountains, with just scattered showers in the Boston area. Sunday will washed out in Boston, but only showers further north.

Boston Columbus Day weekend forecast:

Tonight: Clear with a low of 57.

Saturday: Sunny in the morning, then increasing clouds with isolated showers in the afternoon. High 75. SW wind of 10-20 MPH.

Saturday night: Cloudy with scattered showers. Lows in the mid 50's.

Sunday: Scattered showers until 10 AM, then rain. Highs in the mid 50's.

Sunday night: Rain continues in the evening, then clearing. Lows in the mid 40's.

Columbus Day: Sunny and windy. Highs in the upper 50's.


Northern New England Columbus Day forecast:

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with lows around 50.

Saturday: Cloudy with rain arriving in the afternoon. Highs around 60.

Saturday night: Cloudy with scattered showers. Lows in the 40's

Sunday: Cloudy with showers around. Highs around 50.

Sunday night: Rain showers may mix with wet snow in the high country. Lows in the 30's. No accumulation expected.

Columbus Day; Sunny and windy. Cool with highs around 50.

Foliage Forecast:


North Country: The leaves are great with reds and oranges all throughout the mts. The peak is right around the corner.

Boston area: Some trees are changing around the area. The peak will be in late October.
