Rain has fallen during the day today and will continue into the night. Eventually, enough cold air will come in behind the system for a brief period of snow before precip comes to and end. Most of the day on Thursday will be chilly and windy, but sunny. Cold and quiet conditions will last thru the weekend.

Boston Forecast:
Tonight: Heavy rain until 5 AM, then rain mixed with wet snow. Windy with a low of 34. North wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH after midnight. Total rainfall of 1.5-2 inches expected.
Thursday: Snow until 8 AM, then mostly sunny and windy. High 45. NW wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. A coating of snow is possible.
Thursday night: Clear with lows in the low 30's.
Friday: Partly to mostly sunny with highs in the mid 40's.
Saturday: Sunny and windy. Highs in the upper 30's.
Sunday: Sunny with highs in the mid 40's.
