A strong cold front will come through the area tomorrow providing the area with hit or miss showers. There is also a chance of squall line coming through in the evening with heavier showers possible. Then, the coldest air of the season will come into New England on Friday as highs will struggle to reach 50. The first frost is possible in Boston on Friday night.

Tonight: Partly cloudy with lows near 44 in Boston, 42 in JP and 36 in most suburbs.
Thursday: More clouds than sun with scattered showers in the afternoon. High 61. SW wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH possible in stronger storms. Some storms may bring small hail and gusty winds after 3 PM.
Thursday night: Scattered showers until 8 PM, then partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 30's. West wind of 10-20 MPH.
Friday: Blustery and chilly. Mainly sunny with highs in the upper 40's. NW wind of 15-25 MPH.
Friday night: First frost in the city likely. Lows in the mid 30's in Boston, but 20's in the suburbs with clear skies.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 50's.
Sunday: Mainly cloudy with a shower possible-a washout is not expected. Highs in the mid 50's.
Tropics: Typhoon Megi is headed for Hong Kong with winds of 115 MPH, and more straightening is possible. It hammered the northern Philippines with 2 feet of rain and damaging winds earlier this week. In the Atlantic basin Richard is expected to form in the NW Caribbean in the next day or so.
