Trick Or Treat Timeline

 Rain will fall heavily overnight, but should end by the morning. That will lead to a great Halloween with sunny skies, comfy temps and light winds. Temps by the evening will be around 60 and it will be dry. 

Boston forecast :

Tonight; Rain. Near steady temps around 58.  SE wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Sunday ;Becoming mostly sunny. High 65. SW wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Trick Or Treat Timeline:  Happy Halloween everyone! 

5 PM: Mostly sunny with a temps of 60. SW wind of 10-20 MPH throughout the night 

7 PM: Clear to partly cloudy with a temp of 58, 

9 PM: Partly cloudy with temps around 55.

Monday ;Mostly sunny and nice. Highs in the mid 60's. 

Tuesday; Sunny and much cooler. Highs around 50. 

Wednesday; Sunny with highs in the 40's. 

Tropics Update; Subtropical Storm Wanda has formed in the Central Atlantic this evening. No threat to New England at this point.

Rain Update

 A storm will bring rain and some wind to the area on Saturday. Then skies will clear for Halloween and it will be warm. 

Boston forecast; 

Tonight: Rain late. Low 50. SE wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Saturday; Showers with scattered thunderstorms. High 63. SE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. 

Saturday night ;Rain. Lows in the mid 50's. SE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. Total rainfall of 2-3 inches. 

Sunday; Becoming mostly sunny and warmer. Highs in  the mid 60's. 

Halloween. Clear with temps in the upper 50's. Light winds. 

Monday; Sunny with highs in the low 60's. 

Tuesday; Sunny with highs in the 50's.

Another Storm

Yet another storm is on the way for Saturday but it won't be as strong. Rain will arrive after midnight on Friday night and continue off and on through Saturday. And it will be windy, but not as windy as the nor'easter that hit a few days ago. 

Boston forecast; 

Tonight: Clearing with areas of frost. Low 40. 

Friday; Mostly cloudy with a high of 53. NE wind 15-25 MPH. 

Friday night; Cloudy early, then rain late. Lows in the upper 40's. NE wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Saturday;  Rain. Windy with highs around 60. East wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. 

Saturday night; Rain. Temps holding in the upper 50's. East wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.

Storm Update

 A powerful storm will continue to impact the area overnight. As the wind should gust up to Hurricane force in some areas. The wind should cause major damage in some locations as well. The height of the wind will last into Wednesday morning.

A High Wind Warning is in effect for the Boston area 

A Wind Advisory is in effect NW of route 128 

A Flood Watch is in effect for the area as well. 

Peak Wind Gusts; 

 80 MPH: Cape and Islands 

70 MPH: Rest of coast-Including Boston 

50 MPH: Inland 

Rain Totals; 

2-3 inches; The Boston area 

Waves; 

20-30 FT!

Nor'easter Forecast

 A very powerful nor'easter will impact the area over the next 2 days. The storm will bring heavy rain, damaging winds and big waves. The height of the storm will be Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning. Power outages are expected-even in Boston.  I highly suggest staying off the roads tomorrow night. 

Alerts: 

A High Wind Warning is in effect for the Boston area from 2 PM Tuesday until 2 PM Wednesday 

A Flood Watch is in effect for all of the Boston area 

A Wind Advisory is in effect NW of route 128 

A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for the coast 

Nor'easter Details: Now through Wednesday 
 
Rain: 

3-4 inches of rain is expected in the Boston area 

Peak Wind Gusts; Height of wind of is Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night. 

75 MPH: Cape and islands 

65 MPH:   The rest of the coast- Including Boston!! 

50 MPH; Inland 

Coastal Impacts: 

20-30 Feet: Waves 

Coastal Flooding: Minor

Nor'easter Ahead

 A powerful nor'easter will impact the area Tuesday into Wednesday. The storm will bring damaging winds and flooding rains. The height of the storm appears to be from Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday midday. Some coastal flooding is possible as well.

A High Wind Watch is in effect for the Boston area for Tuesday into Wednesday 

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Rain. Low 48. NE wind of 15-25 MPH.

Monday; Rain in the morning, then scattered showers and drizzle in the afternoon. High 57. NE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. 

Monday night: Heavy  rain. Lows in the low 50's. NE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. 

Tuesday; Heavy rain. Highs in the mid 50's. NE wind increasing to 25-35 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH.

Tuesday night: Heavy rain. Temps holding in the 50's. NE wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH. 

Wednesday; Rain. Highs in the 50'S< NE wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH. Total rainfall of 3-5 inches. 

Thursday; A break in the rain appears likely. Highs in the 50's. 

Friday ;Another nor'easter possible. Highs in the 50's. Stay tuned!

Historic Storm?

Sunday will be the calm before the storm with sunny skies and fall like temps. Then a powerful nor'easter will likely impact the area. The height of the storm appears to be Tuesday into Wednesday. While there are still multiple solutions on the table at this point a historic storm is possible. Stay tuned for more updates over the next few days.
