Hurricane Isaias Forecast

The storm has strengthened into a Hurricane with winds of 85 MPH near the Carolina coast. The latest track sends it up the coast and into western New England with winds of  60 MPH. It will bring downpours and damaging winds to the area. And isolated tornadoes are likely as well.

Alert:

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for all of Southern New England for Tuesday.

Tonight: Increasing clouds with a low of 70. SW wind of 15-25 MPH.

Height of Storm from 5 PM-11 PM

Peak Wind Gusts:

Western and Central MA: 65 MPH

The Boston area; 55 MPH.

Cape and Islands: 50 MPH

Storm Forecast

Tropical Storm Isaias will bring heavy rain and strong winds to the area on Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night. The storm may restrengthen into a Hurricane before it makes landfall in the Carolinas. However, it is now expected to weaken on its track up the coast

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a low of 72. SW wind of 10-20 MPH.

Monday; Mostly sunny and humid. High 92. SW wind of 10-20 MPH,

Monday night: Increasing clouds with lows in the low 70'.s

Tuesday; Showers and wind likely. Highs in the low 80's. SE wind of 15-25 MPH.

Tuesday night: Heavy rain and strong winds as the storm makes its closest pass. Lows in the low 70's. SE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH.  Stay tuned for any alerts issued on Monday! S

Isaias Update

Isaias now has weakened to a Tropical Storm tonight. It still looks like it will come up the East Coast and track over New England on Tuesday night. However, it looks to be weaker and will not be as bad as I once feared. Stay tuned for further updates over the next few days.

Tonight: Clear with a low of 70.

Sunday; Partly sunny with a passing shower or thunderstorm. High 87. South wind of 15-25 MPH. .

Sunday night; Clearing with lows around 70.

Monday; Sunny with highs in the mid 90's.

Monday night: Cloudy early, then showers late.. Lows in the mid 70's.

Tuesday;  Showers and wind likely from the Tropical Storm. Highs in the 70's.

Tuesday night: The height of the storm hits with heavy rain and gusty winds. Highs around 80. Stay tuned for exact details tomorrow!

Wednesday;  The storm ends in the morning. Highs in the 80/s.

Hurricane Isaias

Hurricane Isaias now has winds of 80 MPH near the Bahamas. The latest track sends it up the East Coast and crosses over southern New England on Tuesday night. That would mean heavy rain and strong winds are likely.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Clear with a low of 70.

Saturday; Sunny with a high of 85. East wind of 10-20 MPH.

Saturday night: Clear with lows around 70.

Sunday; Scattered PM storms. Highs in the upper 80's.

Monday; Sunny with highs in the low 90's.

Tuesday ;Heavy rain and strong winds likely by late in the day from Isaias. Highs in the 70's. Stay tuned!

Latest on Isaias

Isaias now has winds of 60 MPH near the Hispaniola as of 8 PM. The latest track sends it up the East Coast as a minimal Hurricane and making a close pass to the area on Tuesday. Stay tuned for further updates.

Friday; Partly to mostly sunny with a high of 83. SE wind of 10-20 MPH.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with lows in the upper 60's. .

Monday; All eyes turn to the Hurricane coming up the coast. Highs in the 80's.
