A Great Weekend

 The weekend will be stunning with sunny skies, low humidity and comfy temps as High Pressure takes control. Then a heavy rain event is possible early next week as a storm comes in from the west.

 A strong storm system will bring showers, storms and a gusty wind to the area late on Saturday and into the evening. It will dry out for Sunday and Monday before more rain for the mid week.

An air quality alert is in effect for all of MA for Saturday.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with smoke until 3 PM, then showers with scattered severe thunderstorms. Windy with a high of 85. SW wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.

 A hot week is in store along with high humidity making it feel like over 100 degrees at times. The hottest days will be Tuesday and Wednesday as temps approach 100! It will remain in the 90's thru the end of the week but the humidity may lower.

Rain Update

Rain and some wind will occur on Tuesday as an area of low pressure comes thru. The heaviest rain will be south of Boston and gusty winds will occur near the coast. It will return to warm and dry by the end of the week.

 Scattered showers will occur on Monday along with cooler temperatures. More widespread rain is likely Monday night into Tuesday with several inches of rain possible. It should dry out for the rest of the week.

 The 4th of July will be another hot one with a chance of late day storms. Sunday will be a bit cooler before a chance of rain early next week.

Dangerous Heat Ahead

 An Extreme Heat Warning has been issued for most of MA as a dangerous heat wave approaches. The hottest days appear to be Thursday and Friday as temps soar above 100! And the heat index could be over 110! Please stay safe during the heat wave.

Extreme Heat Watch

 The heat and humidity will continue to build over the next several days. Tuesday will be in the 90's and temps will approach or surpass 100 degrees for the middle and end of the week. The hottest day of the week appears to be Thursday when temps will exceed 100 and heat index values will be nearing 115!

Scattered Storms

 Rain will fall overnight and into Friday morning as a front comes through. After a midday break more showers and storms are possible late in the day and some could be severe. And the weekend will be mostly dry, but there is a small risk for a shower.

Friday: Showers until 10 AM, then partly sunny with scattered showers and severe thunderstorms. High 80. South wind of 15-25 MPH. Some storms may bring high winds and hail.

Warm Wednesday

It will clear out for Wednesday as the front slips offshore. Then another front approaches from the west leading to more showers and storms later in the week. More rain is possible this weekend.

Rain To Start The Week

 An area of low pressure will bring much needed widespread rainfall to the region Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning. Inch or more of rain is expected. It will dry out for midweek before another rain chance by Friday.

Arthur Update: Arthur has now merged with a frontal system off the East Coast and is expected to head out to sea, although it still could enhance our rain on Monday. 

Thunderous Thursday

 A series of fronts will lead to showers, storms and wind on Thursday. First, a warm front will lead to showers first thing in the morning. Then, after some midday clearing an approaching cold front will bring scattered severe storms and isolated tornadoes. It will dry out for Friday and the weekend before the remains of TS Arthur makes a close pass to the East coast on Monday.
