 The rain will continue overnight before changing to sleet and then snow before dawn. Snow will last through the morning and amount to an inch or 2 mainly on nonpaved surfaces. More snow is likely later i the evening that could stick to the pavement as temps drop.

 A potential historic blizzard is on the way with feet of snow, winds to hurricane force and coastal flooding. The storm will arrive Sunday evening and last thru the day on Monday. The height of the storm will be on Monday. There will be whiteout conditions for several hours as snow falls a few inches per hour. Please stay at home on Monday and make sure all electronics are charged. 

Alerts: 
A Blizzard Warning is in effect for the Boston area from 4 PM Sunday thru 7 AM Tuesday. For blizzard requirement to be met we must have winds over 35 MPH, snow and visibility lower than 1/4 of a mile for at least 3 hours in a row. And I expect that to be met in the Boston area.

 After several inches of snow fell today, frigid air will continue to come into the region. Super Bowl Sunday highs will only reach the teens along with a gusty wind. Monday and Tuesday will moderate a bit before our next chance of snow by Wednesday.

 The next few days will feature mainly sunny skies and temps near 30. Then an arctic front will bring snow to the area Friday night into Saturday morning. Frigid temps will come into New England behind the front with dangerous wind chills likely.

 Friday will be a frigid day along with sunny skies. Saturday will also be chilly before a powerful nor'easter makes a close pass on Sunday. The storm now looks to just be a graze bringing light snow and wind to the Boston area with more snow towards the Cape and Islands.
