Winter Storm Ahead

Temps will warm enough on Saturday for all rain to fall by evening. Then a arctic front will cross the region on Sunday, followed by an area of low pressure bringing snow Sunday night. Snow will arrive around sunset and continue heavy at times overnight. It will amount to several inches. 

Alert: 

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for central and western MA. 

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Increasing clouds with a low of 25. 

Saturday: Mostly cloudy until 3 PM, then rain showers. High 45. South wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Saturday night: Rain showers. Temps falling into the mid 30's by dawn. South wind of 15-25, changing to west. 

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with temps holding in the mid 30's .

Sunday night: Heavy snow. Lows around 15. Total snow amounts of 5-10 inches. Stay tuned! 

MLK Day: Any snow ends, then turning sunny. Highs in the low 20's .

Tuesday: Sunny and frigid. Highs around 15.
