Snowstorm Forecast

 A significant Winter storm is ahead as a storm comes up the coast. Snow will arrive by dark and last all night long. It will amount to several inches.  And, the wind will  become gusty allowing for blowing snow. Finally, arctic air will come into New England behind the storm. 

Alerts: 

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for most of the region.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Any rain ends, then mostly cloudy. Low 34. West wind of 10-20 MPH.

Sunday: Increasing clouds until 3 PM, then snow. High 40. NE wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Sunday night; Heavy snow. Lows around 13. North wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Total snow amounts of 6-9 inches in Boston. 

MLK Day: Turning mostly sunny and colder. Highs in the low 20's. 

Tuesday: Sunny and frigid. Highs around 17. 

Wednesday: Sunny with highs around 15.
