The Week Ahead

 Overall a quiet pattern is  ahead as High Pressure settles into the area. Monday will be in the mid to upper 60's along with some sun. A shower is possible on Tuesday before it dries out for the rest of the week.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with areas of fog. Low 55. 

Monday: Mostly cloudy with a high of 67. East wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Monday night: Mostly cloudy with a shower possible. Lows in the mid 50's.

Tuesday: Low clouds and fog with scattered showers, mist and drizzle. Highs in the mid 60's. 

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with highs in the low 70's. 

Thursday: Sunny with highs in the 70's. 

Friday: Sunny with highs in the 70's. 

Cloudy Days

 Clouds will dominate the sky on Sunday as the remains of Helene remain to our south. Temps will hold in the 60's over the next few days as well. The next chance of rain arrives on Wednesday.

Weekend Forecast

 An area of High Pressure will push the remains of Helene to our south and SW over the next few days. The rain will finally make an approach the area on middle of the week. Until then a it will be a mix of sun and clouds along with seasonable temps.

Saturday; A mix of sun and clouds with a high of 70. East wind of 10-20 MPH.

Monday; Sunny with highs in the low 70's. 

Tuesday: Clouds increase as the remains of Helene come closer. Highs in the 60's. 

Major Hurricane Helene

 As of this writing Helene has winds of 140 MPH as it makes landfall in the big bend of Florida. It will bring dangerous wind, rain and storm surge to the area overnight. It will then track northward to Georgia and bring the SE high winds and rain-including the Atlanta area. High pressure centered over New England will help push the storm to our SW thru the upcoming weekend.

Tonight: Showers coming to an end. Low 58. West wind of 10-15  MPH. 

Friday: Becoming  mostly sunny. High 77. West wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Friday night: Clear with lows in the upper 50's. 

Saturday Sunny with highs around 70.

Sunday; Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60's.

Monday: Sunny with highs in the 70's. 

Tropical Storm Helene

 TS Helene is expected to become a major Hurricane over the next day or so and impact Florida and portions of the SE over the next few days. At this point it looks like any remains of the storm will stay to our SW. Locally, rain chances will increase by Thursday as a frontal system comes thru.

Wednesday: Partly to mostly cloudy with a high of 65. East wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Wednesday night; Mainly cloudy with a passing shower early, then showers late. Temps holding near 60. SE wind of 10 -20 MPH.

Thursday: Periods of rain. Highs in the mid 60's. SE wind of 15-25 MPH. Total rainfall around an inch. 

Friday; Partly sunny with highs in the upper 60's. 

Saturday: Sunny with highs in the low 70's.

More Clouds

 The next 2 days will similar with a mix of sun and clouds along with a sprinkle. Temps will be held in the mid 60's. A front will bring more scattered showers on Thursday. It looks to dry out for the weekend.

 The rain will continue to fall overnight as the storm finally pulls away. It will remain cool and cloudy over the next several days,  as a wind off the water continues.

 Scattered showers are likely on Friday as an ocean storm backs into the area. Cool ocean breezes will keep temps in the 60's this weekend along with mainly cloudy skies.

Rain On The Way?

 Clouds will increase on Wednesday ahead of our rain chance. The storm will bring scattered showers and a gusty breeze to the area on Thursday. And temps will finally trend below normal thru the weekend.

The Week Ahead

 The dry weather will continue over the next few days. TS Helena is expected to form off the east coast and its moisture could bring some rain to the area by late on Wednesday into Thursday.

Monday: Sunny with a sea breeze. Highs near 75 in  Boston and 82 inland. SE wind of 10-20 MPH.

Wednesday: PM rain likely. Highs in the mid 70's .

Thursday: Showers and some wind likely.  Highs in the 60's .

Tropics: Other than Helena we are watching a cluster of storms in the Caribbean that could develop over the next week or so and might travel north towards the US coast. Stay tuned!  

Weekend Update

 Sunday will be another sunny day along with a sea breeze. The dry weather will last until at least Wednesday before a coastal storm makes a close pass. At this early stage it seems some rain is possible, but will become clearer over the next few days.

Day After Day

 The great weather will continue over the next several days. Temps on Thursday should rise into the low 80's across most of the region. Then a brief shower is possible on Friday afternoon as a weak front crosses the area. The weekend and into early next week  looks warm  and dry.

Hurricane Francine: It has winds of 75 MPH as it makes a landfall near  New Orleans on Wednesday with heavy rains and high winds.

 The nice weather will continue thru Thursday as high pressure remains in control. Then a coastal storm will pass close to the area on Friday, but likely far enough offshore not to bring any rain. Rain will arrive by late on Saturday as a cold front arrives from the west.

 Labor day will be a great day with sunny skies and low humidity. IT will remain dry for the remainder of the week before rain chances increase by next weekend.
