An Excessive Heat Watch has been issued for parts of the area as dangerous heat is expected later this week. Monday will be in the 80's, but starting on Tuesday and continuing through the rest of the week temps will rise well into the 90's. And the heat will peak on Thursday when highs will likely reach 100 degrees!

Monday: Mostly sunny as the humidity slowly builds. High 83. SW wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH.
Monday night: Clear with lows in the low 60's.
Tuesday; Sunny and turning hot. Highs in the low 90's.
Wednesday; Sunny with highs in the upper 90's. Heat index values up to 105!
Thursday; Sunny with all time June record heat. Highs around 100! Heat index values up to 110!
Friday; PM storms possible. Still very hot with highs in the upper 90's.
Tropics: Watching a cluster of storms in the Gulf Of Mexico that will likely develop over the next couple of days.
