Storm Update

A strong nor'easter will impact the area over the next few days. Rain, sleet, freezing rain and snow are all likely during the storm.  The wind will be damaging as well. The height of the storm will be Wednesday night. And minor to moderate coastal flooding is also expected.

A High Wind Watch is in effect for the coast-including Boston 

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect NW of Worcester 

A  Coastal Flood Watch is in effect for Boston 

Boston forecast :

Tonight: Areas of rain. Low 38. East wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Wednesday; Showers in the morning, then heavy rain in the afternoon. Near steady temps around 40. East wind increasing to 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. 

Wednesday night: Rain with sleet  and snow. Very windy with lows in the mid 30's. East wind of 30-40 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH. 

Thursday;   Rain, snow and sleet in the morning, then mostly cloudy in the afternoon. Temps holding in the upper 30's. East wind of  30-40 MPH with gusts to 55 MPH. decreasing to 45 MPH late. Snow may coat the ground in and around Boston.  Total rainfall of 2-3 inches. 

Thursday night;  Mostly cloudy with scattered rain and snow. Lows in the mid 30's. 

Friday; Mostly cloudy with rain and snow showers around. Highs around 40. 

Saturday; Mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 40's. 

Sunday; Sunny with highs in the 50's.
