Wild Wednesday

 A strong front will bring rain, high winds and even a little snow Wednesday into Thursday. Showers will start overnight and last  through the day on Wednesday. along with strong winds. Then heavy rain with even a few thunderstorms will arrive  Wednesday evening. as the front approaches. As the front crosses temps will crash at least 20 degrees in just a few hours changing rain over to snow before ending. The strong winds will last through Thursday leading to wind chills in the single numbers. 

Alerts; 

A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Boston area from 1 PM Wednesday thru Thursday 

A High Wind Warning is in effect for parts of Western  and Central MA as well as the Cape and Islands. 

Boston forecast; 

Tonight: Showers. Near steady temps around 50. SE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. 

Wednesday; Showers. High 62. SW wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH. 

Wednesday night: Heavy rain with scattered thunderstorms in the evening, then rain and snow late. Very windy with lows in the upper 20's. South wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 55 MPH, changing to West late. Total rainfall of 1-2 inches. And snow may coat the ground. 

Thursday; Sunny and very windy. Near steady temps in the low 30's. NW wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 55 MPH. Wind chill values as low as 7 ABOVE early. 

Friday; Sunny and less windy. Highs in the upper 40's. 

Saturday; Showers possible. Highs in the mid 50's. 

Sunday:  More rain possible. Highs in the 50's.
