Storm Forecast

 A powerful storm will impact the area on Monday. A strengthening storm will travel up the  east coast and bring us powerful winds and heavy rain. The height of the storm seems to be from sunrise to early afternoon. And coastal flooding is also a possibility.

Alerts; 

A High Wind Warning is in effect for the Boston area and points SE.

A Wind Advisory is in effect NW of route 128 

A Flood Watch is in effect West of Boston 

A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for parts of the coast 

Storm Forecast: Tonight thru Monday 

Tonight: Temps will rise to 57 by dawn.

Monday; High of 63-projected to break the record of 61. 

Peak Wind Gusts; SE wind 

75 MPH: Cape and Islands 

65 MPH: South shore and parts of Cape Ann

60 MPH; The Boston area 

50 MPH: NW of the greater Boston area 

Rain Totals; 
1-2 inches; In the Boston area 

2-3 inches: NW of Route 128

3-5+ inches;  Parts of Western New  England 

Coastal Flooding: 

Major coastal flooding is possible at some south facing coastal shores. 

Rest of week forecast :

Monday night: Clearing and breezy. Lows in the low 40's. West wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH.

Tuesday: Sunny with highs in the mid 40's. 

Wednesday: Sunny with highs around 40, 

Thursday: A storm possible. Highs in the 30's. Stay tuned! 

Friday: Sunny with highs around 40.
