Sunny And Warm

 Sunday will be a great day with sunny skies and warm temps. The warm and dry weather will last well into next week and temps will likely rise into the 80's. A strong cold front could approach the area by late in the week.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a low of 53. 

Sunday; Becoming mostly sunny and nice. High 73. NE wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Sunday night: Clear with lows in the mid 50's. 

Monday; Sunny with highs in the mid 70's. 

Tuesday; Sunny and warm. Highs in the mid 80's. It will also be quite humid for October.

A Split Weekend

 Rain will fall heavily at times into Saturday afternoon before tapering off. Then a great stretch of weather is in store and it could exceed 80 degrees by next week.

Saturday; Rain until 2 PM, then mostly cloudy. High 60. NE wind of 15-25 MPH.

More Rain

 A storm will bring a lot of rain to parts of the northeast Friday into Saturday. Although the axis of heaviest rain appears to fall SW of the Boston area. However, rain is still expected.

 Skies will clear overnight leading to a chilly night. And the clear skies will last through Thursday before we track more rain by late in to the week and into the weekend.

Some Clearing

 The rain will finally come to an end on Tuesday leading to sunny skies by afternoon. Then temps will fall on Tuesday night with some suburbs falling into the 30's! It will remain dry through Thursday before more rain is likely by Friday.

 The remains of Ophelia will continue to impact the area on Monday.  It will bring rain and gusty winds to the area. After it passes cooler air will come into New England.

More Rain Ahead

 A storm off the east coast is expected to become Tropical Storm Ophelia on Friday. It will track north and bring rain and gusty winds to the area this weekend. Inches of rain are likely and the wind will become strong by Saturday afternoon. More showers are likely on Sunday.

 Hurricane Lee still has winds of 80 MPH as it tracks around 150 miles east of New England on Saturday morning. That will bring some rain and strong winds to the area. The height of the storm will be late tonight into Saturday morning. And waves could be close to 30 FEET!

Hurricane Lee Forecast

 Hurricane Lee will pass about 150 miles east of the Cape and Islands on Saturday morning bringing some rain and wind to the area. It now appears that most of the rain will stay offshore and the strongest winds will just graze the coastline.

Tropical Storm Watch

 A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for the coast-including Boston as Hurricane Lee will make its closest pass on Saturday. It will bring rain and strong winds to the area.  However, the final track is still not set in stone and just 50 miles can make a big difference in impacts. Flooding Possible

 More rain is in for the forecast for Wednesday afternoon as a strong cold front comes through. Then after a dry Thursday and Friday Hurricane Lee will make a close pass to the region on Saturday. It is too soon to discuss possible impacts as the track is not set in stone. I hope to lock down the track by Thursday.

Tracking Lee

 Hurricane Lee has continued to travel NW and will likely strengthen some more over the next few days before turning north. Then it will turn NNE and will make a close pass to us by the end of the week into next weekend. Everything form a major hit form a Hurricane to a close miss of a weakening storm is possible.

Lee Update

 Hurricane Lee is now a Category  3 Hurricane and will continue NW for the next few days before turning due north. It may impact New England next weekend. Before that a stationary front will bring showers and storms over the next few days.

Major Hurricane Lee

 Major Hurricane Lee rapidly intensified today as it now it is a Category 4 Hurricane as of this time. But, I fully expect it to be a Category 5 by the time we wake up tomorrow. The latest track sends it north of Puerto Rico and will thankfully miss the Caribbean islands. Then it will turn to the north and could impact New England late  next week. Stay tuned for more updates through the weekend and early next week!!

 Extreme heat will impact the area on Thursday. As temps will rise well into the 90's along with high humidity. That will lead to heat index values over 100! Friday is hot as well before a front comes into the region for the weekend leading to scattered showers and storms.

 A heatwave is in store for most of the area as the heat builds into the northeast. The hottest day of the week appears to be Thursday as heat index values could approach 100. A front arrives by the weekend leading to scattered showers and storms.

 A sea breeze will develop on Labor Day leading to cooler readings along the coast. The heat will eventually reach the coast by midweek and heat index values could approach 100 as well.
