A stalled front will lead to widespread showers and storms Sunday night through Tuesday morning. Several inches of rain appear likely and that will lead to flooding. As urban and even local river flooding is expected. And in the mountains of northern and western New England where the heaviest rain will fall dangerous mudslides are possible. Finally, any storms that come through could bring strong wind gusts as well.

Tonight: Low clouds and fog come back into the area. Near steady temps around 70.
Sunday; Mostly cloudy with scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms. High 77. East wind of 10-20 MPH.
Sunday night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue. Lows around 70. East wind of 10-20 MPH.
Monday; Rain with thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 70's. East wind of 15-25 MPH.
Monday night; Rain with thunderstorms. Lows around 70. East wind of 10-20 MPH.
Tuesday: Showers in the morning, then cloudy in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 70's.

2-3 Inches: The Boston area.
3-4 inches; Central MA.
4-6+ inches; Parts of Northern and Western New England. Some areas may get up to 8 inches of rain leading to historic flooding!
