 A storm will bring snow, sleet, rain and wind to the area tonight into Saturday. Snow will arrive this evening and fall heavily overnight. It may change to rain for a brief period, before turning back to snow. A few to several inches of snow are likely.

8AM-3 PM: Snow that may mix or change to sleet and rain at times 

3 PM: Rain changes back to snow

3PM-8 PM: Snow. 

8 PM: Snow ends

Coating -2 inches; SE of Boston 

2-4 inches; In Boston 

4- 8 inches; NW of Boston

8-12 inches: NW of Worcester 

Peak Wind Gusts; 

60 MPH: Cape Ann and Cape Cod

50 MPH: The rest of the coast-including Boston

Major; Parts of the south coast 

Moderate: Parts of the East Coast
