Wild Winds

 A powerful storm will impact the area Thursday night into Friday morning. The wind will ramp up and become damaging along with rain. The height of the storm will be around 10 PM Thursday night to around 8 AM Friday morning. Then temps will crash behind the storm. 

Alerts; 

A High Wind Warning is in effect for the South Coast, Cape and Islands

A High Wind Watch is in effect for the rest of the Boston area. 

Boston forecast; 

Tonight: Mostly cloudy and windy. Temps rise to 47 by dawn. South wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. 

Thursday; Cloudy with record warmth. High 62. SW wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH. 

Thursday night: Rain showers with damaging winds. Temps holding in the upper 50's. SW wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 65 MPH. 

Friday; Rain until 9 AM, then clearing,. Windy with temps in the upper 50's early will crash to the mid 30;s late. SW wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 65 MPH early, changing to NW at 20-30 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH late. 

Friday night :Clear and cold. Lows in the low 20's. 

Saturday; Snow showers and squalls likely. Highs in the mid 30's.  

Sunday; Sunny with highs in the mid 30's.
