Weekend Forecast

 Friday will be a sunny day along with temps in the 60's. Saturday will be a bit warmer and it now appears that the rain will hold off until Monday.

Saturday; Sunny and nice. Highs around 70. 

Sunday; Mostly sunny in the morning, then increasing clouds in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 60's. 

Monday; Rain. Highs in the mid 60's .

Tuesday; More rain likely. Highs in the 60's. 

Hurricane Sam; Sam now has winds of 145 MPH and will bring Tropical Storm Conditions to Bermuda. After that Sam may make a close pass to Atlantic Canada.

 Thursday will be a cooler day along with a lot of clouds and a shower. Friday should be cool and dry and more rain is probable by Sunday.

Hurricane Sam; Sam is still a Category 4 Hurricane and is now expected to pass east of Bermuda and head out to sea.  It will bring surf and dangerous rip currents to our coast this weekend into early next week.

 Skies will clear for Wednesday but it will be cooler. A passing shower is possible on Thursday as a weak system comes through. Friday is also chilly and rain is possible by the end of the weekend.

 Monday will be a sunny and comfy as High Pressure takes control. Then a strong cold front will bring showers on Tuesday.  Behind the front fall like temps will come into the area.

Major Hurricane Sam; Sam is now a Category 4 Hurricane with winds of 145 MPH. It may make a close pass to Bermuda late this week before turning out to sea.

Severe Storms Possible

 A strong cold front will bring showers and damaging thunderstorms to the area on Friday. Storms may bring strong winds, hail and even tornadoes. More showers are possible on Saturday but Sunday should feature some drying.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for parts of Western New England.

Friday: Scattered showers and severe thunderstorms in the morning, then showers with scattered severe thunderstorms in the afternoon. High 75. SE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Some storms will produce strong winds, hail and isolated tornadoes.

 Thursday will be very similar to Wednesday with a mix of sun and clouds and a passing shower. Then a powerful cold front will bring showers and storms on Friday. Damaging thunderstorms are possible. I am hopeful it will clear out by Saturday afternoon.

Tropical Storm Odette

 TS Odette formed at 5 PM today off the East Coast. However, is expected to turn NE and out to sea while brining a shower or 2 and a breeze to the Cape and Islands. After that a great stretch of weather will last into most of next week.

 Wednesday will be a warmer and more humid day. Then a strong cold front will cross the region on Wednesday evening and bring scattered severe storms to the area. More showers are possible on Thursday as the front stalls. After that we will need to watch a potential Tropical Storm on Friday. At this point just a graze.

Tropics Update; TS Mindy formed this afternoon in the eastern Gulf Of Mexico. It made landfall in Florida and is now expected to turn east and out to sea. Meanwhile Hurricane Larry will slam Newfoundland with hurricane conditions on Friday.

 Major Hurricane Larry has winds of 115 MPH. It is expected to pass to the east of Bermuda tomorrow than make a turn to the North and hit Atlantic Canada as a Hurricane. Major impacts are possible there. Here, rough surf and rip currents are likely.

Happy Labor Day!

 Labor Day will feature a mix of sun and clouds and comfy temps. Tuesday also looks great before a cold front comes through around mid week. That front should  help push Major Hurricane Larry out to sea. The Hurricane should produce big surf and rip currents by the end of the week.

Labor Day: Mostly cloudy in the morning, then becoming mostly sunny in the afternoon. High 80. West wind of 10-20 MPH.

Tuesday; Sunny with highs in the upper 70's. 

Wednesday; Showers and storms possible late. Highs in the low 80's. 

Thursday; Larry makes its closest pass-likely well out to sea. Highs in the 80's. 

Friday; Sunny with highs in the 70's. 

Tropics; Larry is now a major Hurricane with winds of 125 MPH. It will make a very close pass to Bermuda early this week. Then turn north and may strike Atlantic Canada as a Hurricane by the end of the week. Stay tuned!

 The remains of Ida is bringing heavy rain, strong winds and tornadoes to the area tonight into Thursday morning. A major tornado occurred in parts of the Northeast along with a major flooding disaster. Now, the rain form the south will overtake the area.
