Hurricane Henri Forecast

 Hurricane Henri now has winds of 75 MPH. It is expected to turn north and hit New England as a Category 1 Hurricane or a strong Tropical Storm. It will bring strong winds, flooding rains and storm surge. The height of the storm appears to be in the afternoon. Hurricane Warnings are in effect for parts of New England. 

Alerts; 

A Hurricane Warning is in effect for parts of the South Coast 

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for the Cape and Islands 

A  Flood Watch is in effect for Central and Western MA.

Sunday; Heavy rain. High 77. 

Peak Wind Gusts; 

South Coast: 80 MPH. 

Rhode Island: 70 MPH 

Cape and Islands: 60 MPH

Boston  area: 50 MPH

Rain Totals; 

6-9+ inches: Western New England 

3-6 inches: Central New England 

1-3 inches: The Boston area 

Storm Surge; 

3-5 FT: Cape and Islands and south coast facing shores 

1-3 FT: East coast of MA-including Boston
