Tropical Storm Fay

Tropical Storm Fay formed today with winds of 45 MPH off the coast of North Carolina. The storm is now forecast to track due north and make landfall on Long Island and head through Western New England.  Along that track the heaviest rain and strongest winds will be to our west. However, an eastern jog could bring more significant weather to the area.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect fro all of  MA for Friday night into Saturday morning.

Friday; Mostly cloudy until 4 PM, then showers with scattered thunderstorms. High 83. SE wind increasing to 15-25 MPH.

Friday night: Shower with thunderstorms> Lows in the low 70's, SE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.

Saturday ;Showers with thunderstorms early, then mostly cloudy. Highs in the mid 80's. SE wind of 15-25 MPH. Total rainfall of 1-2 inches.

Sunday; Partly sunny with a passing shower or storm. Highs in the mid 80's.

Monday; Sunny with highs in the 80's.
