Storm Forecast

Another storm will come into the area Thursday night into Friday. It will start as snow in the Boston area and snow heavily for a while before a changeover to rain. The snow should amount to a few inches in the city.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Boston area

 A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Cape and Islands

Tonight: Clear and very cold. Low 20.

Thursday; Increasing clouds with a high of 34.East wind of 10-20 MPH.

Storm Timeline; For Boston

7 PM: Snow arrives in Boston

8PM- Midnight; Heavy snow. Temps holding near 32. East wind of 15-25 MPH>

Aft4er midnight ;Snow mixes with sleet before changing to rain. Temps rise to 37 by dawn. East wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.

Friday; Rain continues. Highs in the low  40's.

1-3 Inches; Boston and other coastal areas

3-6 inches NW of Boston

6-9 inches: NW of rte. 495

Peak Wind Gusts ;

50 MPH: Cape and islands

40 MPH: Rest of coast -including Boston

30 MPH -inland

Saturday; Mostly sunny with highs in the low 40'.s

Sunday; Snow showers possible late in the day. Highs in he upper 30's.
