A powerful coastal storm will track to our west leading to showers and thunderstorms along with a gusty wind. The height of the storm will be on Sunday morning before the rain tapers off in the afternoon. Then wet weather will last into Monday as a front stalls near the area.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Showers with scattered thunderstorms. Low 65. East wind of 10-20 MPH.

Sunday; Showers with scattered severe thunderstorms. High 77. SE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. Some storms may produce damaging winds and flooding rains.

Sunday night; Scattered showers. Lows in the mid 60's. SE wind of 15-25 MPH.

Monday; Showers likely. Highs in the low 80's.

Tuesday:  Partly sunny with a shower or thunderstorm possible. Highs in the low 80's.

Wednesday: Showers possible. Highs in the 80's.
