Nor'easter Ahead

Wednesday will be the calm before the storm with sunny skies and warmer temps. Then a powerful nor'easter will hit the area with heavy snow and damaging winds. The snow will arrive in the early hours of Thursday and last through Thursday evening.

A High Wind Watch is in effect for the Boston area

A Coastal Flood Watch is in effect for the coast

A Hurricane Force Wind Warning is in effect for the ocean!

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Clear with a low of 10.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high of 28. SW wind of 10-20 MPH.

Wednesday night: Increasing clouds until 4 AM, then snow. Lows around 20.

Thursday:  Heavy snow. Very windy with highs in the mid 20's. Total snow amounts of 10-14 inches possible. North wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH.

Thursday night: Snow ending. Lows around 10.

Friday; Sunny and windy. Highs in the low teens.

Saturday: Mostly sunny and frigid. Highs in the single numbers!

Sunday: Sunny with highs in the 20's.
