Storm Forecast

A powerful cold front will bring rain and damaging winds to the area Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday. And there is also a threat for severe thunderstorms. It should start to dry out by Thursday.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of MA from Noon Tuesday through 11 AM Wednesday

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for western MA

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with areas of fog. Low 60. SW wind of 15-25 MPH.

Tuesday: Scattered showers and windy. High 70. South wind increasing to 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.

Tuesday night: Heavy rain in the evening, then rain with thunderstorms after midnight. Windy with temps holding in the upper 60's. South wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH.

Wednesday; Rain with thunderstorms in the morning, then showers in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 60's. South wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.

Thursday; Mostly cloudy with showers possible. Highs in the low 60's .

Friday; Sunny with highs in the 60's.
