Jose Update

Hurricane Jose still has winds of 75 MPH south of Nantucket. The latest track has shifted a little to the SE, lessening the impact a bit. As we are expecting some rain and wind in the Boston area on Wednesday. I am still expecting heavy rains and damaging winds on the Cape and Islands.

A Tropical  Storm Warning remains in effect for the Cape and Islands.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Boston area

 A High Surf Advisory is in effect for the  North Shore

A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for the South Shore

A Flood Watch is in effect for the Cape and Nantucket.

60 MPH: Cape and Islands

50 MPH: The South Shore

40 MPH: The Boston area

3-5+ inches: The Cape and Islands

1-3 inches: The Boston area

Wednesday night: Scattered showers. Lows around 60. NE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH.

Thursday; Mostly cloudy and breezy. Highs in the mid 70's. NE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH.

Friday:  Mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 70's.

Saturday: Partly sunny with highs in the 70's .

Sunday: Sunny with highs in the 70's .

Tropics: Hurricane Maria now has winds of 175 MPH as it heads towards Puerto Rico.
