Tropical Storm Jose will continue to effect the area over the next few days as the storm stalls. Jose will bring cloudy and windy conditions on Thursday. The wind and rain will likely pick up again on Friday before some clearing for the weekend. ]

Jose Update

Hurricane Jose still has winds of 75 MPH south of Nantucket. The latest track has shifted a little to the SE, lessening the impact a bit. As we are expecting some rain and wind in the Boston area on Wednesday. I am still expecting heavy rains and damaging winds on the Cape and Islands.

Hurricane Jose will weaken to a Tropical Storm and pass just SE of Nantucket during the day on Wednesday. That will lead to some wind and rain in the Boston area with the bigger effects felt on the Cape and Islands.

Tropical Storm Watch

Hurricane Jose now has winds of 90 MPH off the east coast. The latest track sends it close to Nantucket as a strong Tropical Storm on Wednesday.  That has lead to a Tropical Storm Watch in that is in effect for the South Shore, Cape and Islands. And some rain and wind is expected in Boston as well.

Hurricane Jose has winds of 80 MPH off the east coast. It will track north and then northeast and will make a close pass to the Cape and Islands on Tuesday into Wednesday. Until then Sunday and Monday will be partly to mostly sunny and muggy.

Hurricane Irma now has winds of 120 MPH as it approaches the Florida coast. It will hit the west coast of Florida on Sunday. It will bring heavy rains, damaging winds and  big storm surge. Here in New England the quiet weather will continue.

Hurricane Irma Update

Hurricane Irma will make landfall in south Florida on Sunday with winds over 150 MPH! It will bring life threatening storm surge, flooding rains and severe winds. After that will track into the SE US bringing rains to the area. Here in New England High pressure will block the storm from coming up the coast. As mainly dry weather will last for several days.

Hurricane Irma now has winds of 185 MPH north of Puerto Rico this evening! The latest track sends it towards the Bahamas and south Florida by the weekend. Stay tuned for further track updates!
