Storm Thursday

Wednesday will be the calm before the storm with sunny skies and temps near 40. Then a powerful storm will impact the area Thursday afternoon into Thursday night. It appears that it will be mainly rain in Boston ending as snow. And there is potential for some accumulation.

Alert:

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect west of route 128 for Thursday.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Partly cloudy with a low of 32. West wind of 10-20 MPH.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high of 40. NW wind of 10-20 MPH.

Wednesday night: Increasing clouds with lows in the upper 20's.

Thursday: Any mix or snow changes to rain by afternoon. Highs in the upper 30's. NE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH.

Thursday night; Rain probably changes to snow before ending. Some accumulation is likely. Lows around freezing. Stay tuned!

Friday; Sunny with highs in the upper 30's.

New Years Eve: Some snow possible. Highs in the 30's.

New Years Day: Any snow ends. Highs in the 30's.
