Forecast Update

A powerful storm will effect the area Tuesday night through Thursday. It will start out as snow Tuesday night and may accumulate a little before a changeover. Periods of rain and drizzle will last through Wednesday before the height of the storm Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

Boston forecast:

Rest of Today; Sunny with a high of 45. NE wind of 10-20 MPH.

Tonight: Clear with a low of 23.

Tuesday: Increasing clouds with highs in the upper 30's.

Tuesday night: Snow in the evening, then changing to sleet and rain late. Temps around freezing early will rise to upper 30's by dawn. Some snow accumulation likely.

Wednesday: Periods of rain and drizzle. Highs in the low 40's.

Thursday: Heavy rain and strong winds likely. Highs in the upper 50's.

Friday: Some clouds with highs in the 40's.
