Severe Weather Outbreak Possible

A powerful cold front will cross the area on Tuesday evening. That will lead to widespread severe thunderstorms. These storms will have a chance to produce damaging winds up to 70 MPH, large hail and even a isolated tornado. And, it will be warm and humid as well. Behind the storms skies will clear and the humidity will drop.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Increasing clouds and humid. Low 65.

Tuesday: Partly sunny with a passing shower until 3 PM, then widespread severe thunderstorms. High 85. SW wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Any storm may produce damaging winds, large hail, frequent lightning and an isolated tornado.

Tuesday night: Any severe storms end by 8 PM, then clearing. Lows in the mid 60's. Any storm early may produce damaging winds, large hail, frequent lightning and an isolated tornado.

Wednesday: Sunny and less humid. Highs in the low 80's.

Thursday: Sunny with highs around 80.

Friday: Rain possible. Highs in the low 70's.
