A cold front will approach the area on Thursday leading to scattered severe storms in the afternoon. Behind the front cooler weather will come into New England on Friday. Then the heat and humidity will return on Saturday, but rain is likely on Sunday.
Boston forecast:
Tonight: Clear and muggy. Low 67. SW wind of 15-25 MPH.
Thursday: Hazy until 3 PM, then scattered severe thunderstorms. High 87. SW wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Some storms will produce damaging winds and small hail.
Thursday night: Any severe storms in the evening fade, then clearing. Lows in the low 60's.
Friday: Mostly sunny and less humid. Highs in the mid 70's.
Saturday: Hazy and humid again. Warmer with highs in the mid 80's.
Sunday; Rain likely. Highs in the 70's.
