An area of low pressure will come into the Boston area on Monday leading to a wintry mix. It will start out as a brief period of snow before turning to sleet and eventually rain. And the snow won't amount to much. Then Tuesday will be very cold and windy along with sunny skies. The end of the week will rise back close to normal.

Boston forecast:
Tonight: Cloudy with a near steady temps around 28.
Monday: Snow mixed with rain and sleet in the morning, then rain in the afternoon. High 37. SW wind of 10-20 MPH. Snow may coat the ground.
Monday night: Rain may change back to snow before ending in the evening, then clearing. Lows around 17. Wind changing to NW at 15-25 MPH.
Tuesday: Sunny and cold. Highs in the low 20's.
Wednesday: Sunny with highs in the low 30's.
Thursday: Sunny with highs in the 30's.
Friday: Partly sunny with highs in the 30's.
