Scattered Squalls

A strong cold front will cross the area on Thursday leading to some more scattered snow showers and squalls that could coat the ground. Then, cold and windy weather will come into the area on Friday. Temps over the weekend will hold near freezing.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Clear and frigid. Lows near 10 in Boston, 8 in JP and BELOW 0 in some suburbs.

Thursday: Partly sunny in the morning, then scattered snow showers and squalls in the afternoon. High 30. West winds of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Snow may coat the ground.

Thursday night: Clearing and frigid again. Windy with lows in the single numbers. NW wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.

Friday: Sunny and windy. Cold with highs in the mid 20's. NW wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with highs in the low 30's.

Sunday: Some snow possible. Highs around 30.

Monday: Watching a major storm. Highs in the 20's. Stay tuned!
