Cold air will continue to sink down into the Boston area overnight and Monday morning. And as that happens more precip will come into the area leading to areas of freezing rain. As the cold front comes thru on Monday night even colder air will come back into New England. And for Christmas eve and day temps will hold near to below freezing.

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for the Boston area until 7AM Monday

Tonight: Cloudy with dense fog and scattered rain and freezing rain. Low 34.
Monday: Showers of rain and freezing rain in the morning, then rain showers in the afternoon. Dense fog with a high of 37. NE wind of 10-20 MPH. Ice amounts around a trace possible.
Monday night: Rain showers and fog in the evening, then mostly cloudy. Lows around 30. North winds of 15-25 MPH.
Christmas Eve Day: Sunny with highs around 30. NW wind of 10-20 MPH.
Christmas Eve; Clear flying for Santa! Clear with lows around 17.
