Close Call

A major coastal storm will make a close pass to the area on Friday. At this point it looks like it will come just far enough north to bring some rain to the Boston area with more to the south. Over the weekend it should drift far enough south to avoid any more rain, but will need to watch the track closely.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Increasing clouds with a low of 47

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a passing shower late day. High 60. NE wind of 10-20 MPH.

Thursday night: Scattered showers in the evening, then showers late. Lows in the upper 40's. NE wind of 15-20 MPH.

Friday: Periods of rain. Highs in the upper 50's. NE wind of 15-20 MPH.

Friday night: Rain tapers off. Lows in the 50's.

Saturday: Cloudy with a chance of more rain. Highs in the mid 60's.

Sunday; Partly sunny with highs near 60.

Columbus Day: Sunny with highs in the 60's.

Extra: Stay tuned for my New England foliage forecast on Thursday!
