It Goes On

The extended heat wave will continue for the next couple of days.  On Friday temps may reach 100 degrees, along with the humidity. On Saturday a sharp cold front will come into the area leading to widespread severe thunderstorms. And, there is even a threat for Tornadoes- stay tuned for more updates.

A Excessive Heat Warning is in effect SW of Boston for Thursday afternoon

A Heat Advisory  is in effect for Boston and points North for Thursday afternoon.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Partly cloudy and muggy. Low 73.

Thursday: Hazy until 3 PM, then isolated thunderstorms. High 95. SW wind of 10-20 MPH. Heat index as high as 104 in the afternoon.

Thursday night: Any storms fade to partly cloudy skies. Lows in the mid 70's.

Friday: Hazy until 4 PM, then a thunderstorm possible. Highs in the upper 90's. Heat index  as high as 107 in the afternoon.

Saturday: Partly sunny in the morning, then widespread severe thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the low 90's. Storms will produce damaging winds, hail, and a tornado is even possible. Stay tuned!

Sunday: Sunny and nicer. Highs in the low 80's.
