Severe Storms

More severe storms hit the area today leading to another Tornado Warning in Central MA. Again, the ocean influence cut down on the storms here in Boston. Low clouds and fog should lift in Boston on Thursday, and with a cold front approaching it should fire of more severe storms. Then, the front will stall leading to more rain over the long holiday weekend.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Low clouds and fog with isolated showers, mist and drizzle. Low 53.

Thursday: Areas of low clouds and fog in the morning, then partly sunny with scattered severe thunderstorms after 5 PM. Highs near 65 at the beaches and 78 well inland. SE wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH. Some storms will produce damaging winds, frequent lightning and small hail.

Thursday night: Showers likely with scattered severe storms in the evening. Lows in the upper 50's.

Friday: Showers.  Cooler with highs in the low 60's. NE wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH.

Saturday: Rain and wind. Cool with highs in the mid 50's.

Sunday: Showers continue. Highs in the low 50's.

Memorial Day: Clearing is possible. Highs around 60.

Extra: Stay tuned for my 2013 Atlantic Hurricane season forecast this weekend!
