Snow Totals

Well, the Blizzard is coming to an end and some very impressive snow totals occurred all around New England. Snow rates reached 4 to 5 inches per hour in some of the most impressive bands.

Milford, CT: 38 inches
Boyleston, MA 34 inches
Portland, ME: 32-ALL TIME RECORD!
Framingham, MA: 31
Quincy: 30
Worecester: 28.7-3rd all time
Sommervile: 28
Belmont: 27
JP: 25.5
Brookline: 25.5
Logan: 24.9-5th all time
Fal River: 24
Topsfield: 21
Vineyard: 15

Peak Wind Gusts:

Hyannis, MA: 77
Boston: 76 MPH
Beford: 75
Blue Hill: 66

    Where does the data for snow fall in JP come from?

    There is a Weather spotter very close to the Arborway- Prince st. The spotter sometimes reports significant storms.
