But, further inland it will remain snow longer where a few inches are likely. It will also be windy with powerful gusts possible even in the Boston area. The precip will all wind down Thursday afternoon.

Wednesday night: Wet snow mixed with rain in the evening, then rain after midnight. Near steady temps in the mid 30's. NE wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH in the evening, then increasing to 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH after midnight. Snow may coat the ground in and around Boston
Thursday: Rain the morning, then scattered rain showers in the afternoon. Highs around 40. NE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH.
Friday: Sunny with highs around 40.
