A Hot Weekend

Saturday will be a hot day with sunny skies and highs well into the 90's. Sunday will be a bit cooler with  a sea breeze keeping temps close to 90. There will also be a threat for a shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon on Sunday.

Heatwave?

A warm front will come thru the area Friday morning leading to a shower or storm in the morning. It will clear out at some point in the afternoon, but the question is how long will the clouds hang around. More clouds may hold temps in the upper 80's. Also, there may be a sea breeze on Sunday that may hold back the temps right at the beaches. Either way, it will be a hot weekend.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Increasing clouds with a low of 67.

Friday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms in the morning, then mostly sunny in the afternoon. Humid with a High 90. SW wind of 10-20 MPH.

Friday night: Clear with lows near 70.

Rising Heat

Thursday will be a nice day with sunny skies and temps rising into the 80's. Friday will be the start of the hot weather as a warm front come thru. Saturday and Sunday will be in the 90's with rising humidity. And, Debby is no longer tropical near Florida-and will head well out to sea anyway.

Warming Trend

The next few days will be similar with some sun and a chance of a shower or a storm each afternoon. Temps will also increase and will eventually lead to another heat wave this weekend. We will also need to watch the track of Debby this weekend.

Wednesday: Partly sunny with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. High 75. West wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 25 MPH,

Wednesday night: Any early storms will fade, then partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 50's.

Thursday: Partly sunny with a scattered PM thunderstorm .Warmer with highs in the mid 80's.

Friday: Partly sunny with a thunderstorm possible. Highs in the low 90's.

Saturday: Sunny and humid. Highs around 90.

Sunday: Sunny with highs in the 90's. Watching the track of Tropical Storm Debby-at this point out to sea.

Local weather: A couple of funnel clouds were reported on the Cape today. However, no touchdowns were recorded.

Cool

Low pressure stalled near the area will keep clouds and some showers in the area. Also, temps will remain below normal for the next couple of days. Overall, the weather will gradually improve later in the week.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers. High 68. NW wind of 10-15 MPH.

Tuesday night: Cloudy with a shower possible. Lows in the upper 50's.

Thursday: Partly sunny with more showers possible. Highs in the mid 70's.

Friday: Sunny and warmer. Highs in the 80's.

Tropics: TS Debby now has winds of 45 MPH. It will slowly cross Florida over the next couple of days. That will lead to to more flooding there.

Rain Monday

A front will come in from the west bringing periods of rain during the day. There will even be a threat of thunderstorms as well. Showers will be around for the first half of the week as the front hangs out near the area. It will warm again by the end of the week.

Monday: Showers with thunderstorms. High 70. South wind of 10-20 MPH. Total rainfall of 1-2 inches expected.

Monday night: Showers with scattered thunderstorms. Lows in the lower 60's.

Tuesday: Cloudy with scattered showers. Highs in the low 70's.

Wednesday: Partly sunny with more showers possible. Highs near 80.

Thursday: Sunny with highs in the upper 70's.

Friday: Sunny with highs in the 80's.

Tropics: TS Debby now has winds of 60 MPH. The center  will most likely hit Florida this week, either way parts of Florida will get inches of rain.

After another hot day today, a few storms came thru this evening. But, the front will be near the area thru Saturday, so there will be a chance of showers and storms until then. Sunday will be the pick of the weekend with sunny skies and low humidity.

One More

One last hot and muggy day is in store for Friday. A cool front will come into the area late leading to some storms in the evening and overnight. Then on Saturday there will be more chances for showers as the front hangs out in the area. It will finally dry out on Sunday.

The hottest weather since last summer will surge into New England over the next few days. The warmest day appears to be Wednesday, but Thursday will be slightly more humid. And, it will feel over 100 on both days. Then, finally a cold front will come thru on Friday with powerful T-storms possible.

Heatwave Ahead

After several comfy days-including Tuesday- hot weather will move into the area. Temps will soar into the mid to upper 90's on Wednesday and Thursday. And, there will be high humidity meaning it will feel like over 100 in most areas.  A cool front will arrive on Friday, but not before reaching 90 again.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Partly cloudy this evening, then mostly cloudy with areas of fog after midnight. Low 53.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with areas of fog until 10 AM, then mostly sunny.. Highs near 73 at the beaches, 77 in  JP and 82 inland. SE wind of 10-20 MPH.

Tuesday night: Partly to mostly cloudy. Lows in the mid 60's.

Wednesday: Hazy, hot and humid. Highs in the mid 90's, but it will feel like over 100!

Thursday: Hazy, hot and humid again. Highs in the upper 90's and it will feel like the mid 100's!

Tropics:  Typhoon Guchol will hit the coast of Japan with winds over 100 MPH!

The Week Ahead

After a great Father's Day the weather will continue to be great for the first half of the week. Then, heat from the center of the country will move into New England. And, the humidity will grow as well before a cold front comes into the area by the end of the week.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a sea breeze. Highs near 67 at the beaches, 71 in JP and 76 inland. SE wind of 10-20 MPH

Tuesday: Sunny with a sea breeze again. Highs in the mid 70's in Boston and low 80's inland .

Wednesday: Hot and humid. Sunny with highs in the mid 90's

Thursday: Hot and humid with highs in the mid 90's,.

Friday; Partly sunny with scattered storms. Highs in the upper 80's.

Tropics:  Super Typhoon Guchol will head to Japan with  current winds of 150 MPH! Although it may weaken a little, it will still hammer Japan with damaging winds and flooding rains.

Tropics: Hurricane Carlotta is now a Cat 2 Hurricane with winds of 105 MPH in the East Pacific.. It is about to make landfall along the south coast of Mexico.

800th Post!!!

This is my 800th post since I started my blog-thanks for checking it out. I plan continuing the blog-writing as much as I can over the summer and beyond. As for the current weather a front will come in from the west leading to showers mainly on Wednesday morning. Then it should begin drying out but it may not be fully sunny.

Strong Storms

A couple of thunderstorms came thru Boston this afternoon. Including a strong thunderstorm with strong wind gusts and frequent lightning at around 5 PM. Now, the front will cross tonight leading to a nice weekend. Temps will be near 80 on Saturday and well into the 70's on Sunday along with sunny skies.

Getting Better

A wild storm will hit the area on Saturday with heavy rain, strong winds and coastal flooding. The rain could cause some flooding-especially Saturday afternoon. Then, Sunday will provide some dry times, but more showers are likely.

A Flood Watch is in effect north of Boston.

A High Surf Advisory is in effect for the coastline-including Boston

Saturday: Showers until 10 AM, then heavy rain. Windy with a high of 62. SE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Rainfall of 1-2 inches expected.

Saturday night: More showers. Lows in the mid 50's. SE wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts 30 MPH.  Total rainfall of 1-3 inches expected.

US Weather: Tornado warnings were issued for the Baltimore-DC area earler this evening. Some damage was reported.
