Tracking Katia
The remains of TS Lee will ride along the front stalled on the east coast and lead to periods of rain over the next few days. However, the southerly flow caused by Lee will help push Katia mainly out to sea on Friday. Katia may come just close enough to bring Tropical Storm force wind gusts (40-74 MPH) on the Cape and Islands for a brief time. It is expected to pack winds of 90 MPH or so, but it should be far enough east on the current track to the keep most of the rain offshore and the wind east of Boston. Keep in mind a small shift of 50 miles or so will make a big difference. Stay tuned for more updates.
Boston, MA forecast:
Tonight: Low clouds with showers, mist and drizzle. Near steady temp around 60. NE wind of 10-15 MPH.
