Tropical Storm Emily

Tropical Storm (TS) Emily has formed near the Leeward islands tonight with winds of 40 MPH. It is expected to turn NW and head towards the DR as a strong TS over the next day or 2. After that it is projected to head towards the US East coast this weekend as a Hurricane. Stay tuned for more updates throughout the week.

As for our weather a weak cool front will come thru with a chance of storms late in the afternoon. More rain is possible on Wednesday before dry weather comes back into the area for the end of the week.

Boston, MA forecast:

Tonight: Mostly cloudy and still muggy. Low 70.

Tuesday: Mostly Sunny until 3 PM, then scattered thunderstorms. High 88. West wind of 10-15 MPH.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy with lows in the mid 60's.

Wednesday: Increasing clouds in the morning, then showers in the afternoon. Highs around 80.

Thursday: Sunny with highs around 80.

Friday: Sunny with highs in the 80's.
