SPECIAL: 4th of July New England Weekend

The Boston area will have a string of hot and humid days this holiday weekend with a thunderstorm possible on Sunday. Temps will mainly be in the mid to upper 80's with rising humidity.

However, in Northern New England a shower is more probable on Friday and Sunday afternoon. Temps will hold in the upper 70's to the mid 80's thru the holiday weekend. It should be great for the fireworks Monday night.

Also, the Cape and Islands surrounded by water will be cooler and more clouds will be around. However, there is less of a chance of a damaging thunderstorm later Sunday. It will still be a great beach weekend on the Cape as water temps continue to rise.
