Near the top!

The Boston area hit the jackpot with this storm, with about 18 inches at Logan and well less to the SE and further west. In the Worcester area there were lower totals, and most areas in metro west ended up with around a foot. Now, the wind will howl through the night and wind chills will be below 0 by morning. Although, the next few days will be sunny and warming trend is expected as we head towards 2011.

is in effect until midnight tonight for the coast, including Boston.

Boston, MA Forecast:

Tonight: Scattered snow showers before 7 PM, then clearing with blowing snow. Windy with lows near 15 in Boston, 12 in JP and 8 in the suburbs. NW wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH this evening, diminishing to 20-30 MPH after midnight.

Tuesday: Bright sunshine and windy. High 32. NW wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH. Wind chill values as low as 10 below before 9 AM.

Tuesday night: Clear with lows in the teens. Watch for icy spots.

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid 30's.

Thursday: Sunny with highs around 40!

New Years Eve: Sunny with highs in the 40's.
