Few Flakes

A major snowstorm will hit Maine this weekend, but will remain mainly north of us. A few flurries will drift into the Boston area this weekend and on Monday, but it won't amount to anything. The coldest air of the season so far will come into the area next week, but it will remain quiet.

Boston, MA forecast:

Tonight: Clouds decrease a little. Lows near 30 in Boston and 20's in the suburbs.

Saturday: Partly sunny with a stray flurry possible. High 40. NW wind of 15-20 MPH.

Saturday night: Mainly cloudy with lows in the low 30's.

Sunday: Cloudy with scattered flurries in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 30's. A foot or more of snow will fall in northern and western Maine through the weekend.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with flurries likely. Highs in the mid 30's. No accumulation expected.

Tuesday: Still gray and cold. Highs in the mid 30's.
