Soaker

A storm will come together right over New England and give us a soaking rain. The storm will be stronger than I thought yesterday, but still there is not much wind with this storm. Then, another storm will come up behind it on Friday, but just graze the region with showers. After that, a mainly dry and cold weekend is expected.

Boston, MA forecast:



Tonight: Clear this evening, then increasing clouds. Temps around 40 by dawn.



Thursday: Rain overspreading the area from South to North and becoming steady by 11 AM. Then downpours after 3 PM. High 55. SE wind of 15-20 MPH. 1 inch of rain expected.



Thursday night: Heavy rain. Near steady temps in the low 50's. SE wind of 15-20 MPH with gusts to 25 MPH. 1-1.5 inches of rain expected.



Friday: Heavy rain until 9 AM, then showers continuing. Highs in the low 50's. About .5 inches of rain expected.



Saturday: A flurry possible before 8 AM, then partly sunny. Highs in the upper 40's.



Sunday: Mainly sunny with highs in the upper 40's.



Tomas: TS Tomas has winds of 45 MPH and a Hurricane Watch is in effect for Haiti. It is expected to hammer the area with 1-2 FEET of rain along with damaging winds.
