A storm as strong as a Category 3 Hurricane hammered the middle of the country over the last couple of days. It is the second strongest storm ever over land in the United States with a pressure recorded of 955 MB (millibars) in Minnesota. Here as some stats from the storm

Boston, MA forecast:
Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms this evening, then mostly cloudy. Low 55.
Thursday: Clearing and breezy, but not as humid. Warm with a high of 70. West wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH.
Thursday night: Partly cloudy with lows in the 40's.
Friday: Back to normal with highs in the mid 50's along with partly cloudy skies.
Saturday: A nice start to the weekend. Sunny skies with highs in the mid 50's.
