Severe weather rolled through NYC earlier today and that same system will provide us with showers and some thunderstorms tonight. Some thunderstorms tonight may produce gusty winds and vivid lightning. As the warm front comes through, temps will actually rise overnight. Showers will end in the morning tomorrow, then nice weather moves in for the weekend. Igor will pass very close to the island of Bermuda and then turn NE and out to sea.

Boston, MA forecast:
Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms. Windy with temps rising to 68 by dawn. Some thunderstorms will produce damaging winds and vivid lightning. South wind increasing to 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH on the Cape and 40 MPH in Boston. However, higher gusts possible in some thunderstorms.
Friday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms until 10 AM, then mostly cloudy. High 69.
SW wind of 15-25 MPH early shifing to NE at 15-25 MPH.
Friday night: Clearing with lows around 50.
Saturday: A great day with sunny skies and highs around 70. Rough surf from Igor offshore.
Sunday: Sunny with highs in the mid 70's. Rough surf continues.
