Storms later

A cold front parked over northern New England will sink southward tonight. That will give us scattered thunderstorms after midnight tonight, and again Tuesday afternoon. Then, refreshing air returns for the end of the week -before my dad and I head to Alaska on Friday.

Boston, MA forecast: 

Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy in the evening, then scattered showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Muggy with lows around 70. SW wind of 5-10 MPH, except higher in some storms. 

Tuesday: Hazy until 3 PM, then severe thunderstorms possible. Muggy with a high of 90. Variable wind of 5-10 MPH. 

Tuesday night: Storms possible before 8 PM, then clearing. Lows in the upper 60's. 

Wednesday: Sunny with lower humidity. Highs in the mid 80's. 

Thursday: Partly to mostly sunny with highs in the low 80's. 

Friday: Should be OK for takeoff with partly sunny skies and highs around 80. 

Tropics: Watching a storm way out in the Atlantic that could develop. Also watching a storm in the Gulf of Mexico that will likely become named and head towards New Orleans.
