Special- 4th Of July Weekend

This weekend will feature mainly sunny skies all weekend, but temps will begin to rise towards 90 degrees. I expect humidity to rise as well throughout the weekend. Temps in the 90's will last all through next week. So, the place to be this weekend will be the Cape. On the Cape it will be cooler because of the wind over the bay. However, northern New England will be just as warm and as bright as here in Southern New England this weeekend. It will be warm and muggy for fireworks displays on Sunday night. Scroll to the end to see the update on former Hurricane Alex.

Alex: Hurricane Alex made landfall as a Category 2 Hurricane with winds of 105 MPH at 10 PM Wednesday night. It made landfall around 100 miles south of the TX/ Mex border. Brownsville, TX avoided the hurricane force winds, but have close to 10 inches of rain. Major flooding all over Texas, even as far north as Houston. We are currently watching a low pressure system in the northern Gulf of Mexico for tropical development.
